If the publishing wizard in Storyline 360 becomes unresponsive, follow the troubleshooting steps below, depending on how many projects are affected:
You Can't Publish a Specific Project
First, make sure your project file and your publish location are both on your local hard drive (usually your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior due to latency.
If your project won't publish on your local hard drive, try rebooting your computer to see if it resolves the problem. Sometimes, a computer process can lock up, and rebooting often fixes it.
If the problem persists, import your slides into a new Storyline project, then publish the new project file.
If your course still won't publish, send us your project file, and we'll be glad to investigate it further.
You Can't Publish Any Project
First, make sure you're working on your local hard drive (usually your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior due to latency.
If your projects won't publish on your local hard drive, try rebooting your computer to see if it resolves the problem. Sometimes, a computer process can lock up, and rebooting often fixes it.
If you still can't publish any Storyline project at all, repair your installation of Storyline 360, then reboot your computer and try to publish again.
Also, if you encrypt your files, set an exception for the folder where you're publishing, then try publishing again.
