Want to give your learners research material or a template to download? Do you have practice files that support the lessons in your course? Adding an attachment block lets you easily share files up to 5GB, including PDFs, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets, in your Rise courses.

Here’s how they work.

  1. Insert an Attachment Block
  2. Add an Attachment
  3. Modify the Attachment Block
  4. Accessibility

Step 1: Insert an Attachment Block

  1. Open a Rise 360 course, then choose to edit an existing lesson or create a new one.
  2. Select All Blocks from the blocks shortcut bar. Or, click the insert block icon (+) that appears when you mouse over a boundary between blocks.
  3. When the sidebar appears, choose the Multimedia category in the block library, and select Attachment.

Step 2: Add an Attachment

Hover over the block and click the content icon that appears in the toolbar on the left-hand side. Click Upload, select a file, and click Open

Attachments can be any file type, 5GB or less. The character and file size limitations for AI Assistant source files don't apply to attachments.

Once uploaded, replace the attachment by clicking Change and choosing a new file.

Step 3: Modify the Attachment Block

Use the style and format menus to modify the block background appearance and block padding.

Accessibility

Attachment blocks are accessible. Conduct testing with keyboard navigation and screen readers to ensure accessibility. For further guidance on creating accessible content, refer to our accessibility design tips below:
