What is Storyline 3?
Storyline 3 is the latest perpetual version of award-winning Storyline. Storyline is the industry’s favorite software for creating custom, interactive courses. How does Storyline 3 compare to older versions of Storyline?

How does Storyline 3 compare to Storyline 360?
Storyline 360 is part of Articulate 360, which has everything you need for the entire course authoring process. An annual subscription service, it’ll provide you with continuous feature updates to Storyline (unlike Storyline 3). Can I purchase additional characters for Storyline 3?
No. Storyline 3 comes with 40 classic-illustrated characters and one photographic character. If you purchased character packs or bundles in the past, those characters will also work with Storyline 3.

Are projects created with other versions of Storyline compatible with Storyline 3?

Can I import slides from PowerPoint or Articulate Studio into Storyline 3?
Yes. You can import content from PowerPoint/Presenter courses, Quizmaker quizzes, and Engage interactions.
Who owns the copyright to e-learning courses I create with Articulate software?
You own the rights to all content you create. You may post it to any website or LMS, distribute it to any audience, and charge learners a fee to access it.
Free-trial versions of Articulate software are fully functional but shouldn't be used for live production work.
What are the system requirements for Storyline 3?

Is there a silent installer for Storyline 3?
You can install Storyline 3 silently from a command prompt or via a batch file.
What is the End-User License Agreement for Storyline 3?
On how many computers can I install Storyline 3?
Our end-user license agreement entitles a single user to install Articulate software on a maximum of two computers, such as a home computer and a work computer.
Can I install Storyline 3 on my Mac?
Mac users with Intel processors can install Storyline 3 in Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion, or Apple Boot Camp. (Learn how to use Storyline with Apple M-series chips.)

Can I continue using my current Storyline 1 or Storyline 2 licenses after upgrading to Storyline 3?
Yes. Storyline 1, Storyline 2, and Storyline 3 can be used by the same named user. Previous versions of Storyline must remain with the Storyline 3 licensee after being upgraded; they can’t be transferred to other users.
Can Storyline 3 be installed on the same computer with other versions of Storyline?
Yes. All versions of Storyline can be used on the same computer at the same time.
Is Storyline 3 available in languages other than English?
Yes, you can localize the Storyline 3 interface in German, French, Spanish, and Chinese.

Does Articulate ship installation disks through the mail?
Articulate software is available via electronic (download) delivery. Shipping isn’t available.
You’ll receive an email a few minutes after placing your order with download instructions.
You can download your Articulate software at any time. You’re also welcome to burn a copy of the installation file to a CD or DVD for your own backup purposes.
