Storyline 3: Using HTML Formatting Tags in Text Variables

Dynamically format text in your courses by adjusting variables. Storyline 3 builds 3.7.20003.0 and later support the following HTML tags in text variables. You can include these tags in the initial value of a variable, or you can add the tags later by using a trigger that adjusts the value of a text variable. Want to see it in action? Bold Text
Enclose text in <b></b>
tags to make it bold. For example, a variable with a value of <b>Storyline 3</b>
becomes Storyline 3 in published output.
Italicized Text
Enclose text in <i></i>
tags to make it italicized. For example, a variable with a value of <i>Storyline 3</i>
becomes Storyline 3 in published output.
Line Break
Add a <br>
tag to add a line break to a text string. For example, a variable with a value of Storyline<br>3
spans two lines of text in published output.
Font Color
Enclose text in <font color="#xxxxxx"></font>
tags to change the font color. For example, a variable with a value of <font color="#ff0000">Storyline 3</font>
becomes Storyline 3 in published output.
