Since Adobe discontinued Flash, we retired Flash publishing and the Articulate Mobile Player.
Here are answers to common questions about viewing and tracking Quizmaker 360 quizzes in an LMS.
Which LMS specifications does Quizmaker 360 support?
Quizmaker 360 supports AICC, SCORM, and Tin Can API (xAPI) specs.
Which publish formats should I choose for my LMS?
Quizmaker 360 supports HTML5, Flash, and Articulate Mobile Player formats. Which should you choose when publishing for LMS?
Short answer: Your best option is to choose HTML5/Flash output, but not Articulate Mobile Player. This combination covers all learners and all LMS specs.
- The HTML5/Flash option covers the widest audience and gives learners the best experience on laptop/desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones.
- The HTML5-only option limits your audience to learners with modern, HTML5-supported browsers.
- The Flash-only option limits your audience to learners with laptop/desktop computers and Flash-enabled browsers.
- The Articulate Mobile Player option limits you Tin Can API LMSs.
Which format will learners see?
The format learners see when they launch your quiz depends on the devices and browsers they're using and the publish formats you include.
If you select...
Learners will see...
Learners will always see HTML5 output.
Learners will see HTML5 output if they're using a supported HTML5 browser. If not, they'll see Flash output.
Learners will see Flash output if they’re using a Flash-enabled browser. If not, they’ll see HTML5 output.
Learners will always see Flash output. If they're not using a Flash-enabled browser, they won't be able to view your quiz.
Articulate Mobile Player
Learners with iPads and Android devices will see Articulate Mobile Player output. All other learners will see HTML5 or Flash output, depending on which of the options above you select.
Can learners switch between formats/devices without losing progress or results?
If you publish for HTML5 and Flash, then yes, learners can switch between devices, browsers, and formats without losing their progress or results.
If you include Articulate Mobile Player output, learners can switch between devices, browsers, and formats only if you publish for Tin Can API. The Articulate Mobile Player doesn't support AICC or SCORM.
We recommend choosing the HTML5/Flash format when you publish to cover the widest audience, provide the best experience, and support all LMS specs. When you host content in an LMS, you don't need to include Articulate Mobile Player output unless your quiz includes FLV videos with alpha-channel transparency.
