When you record a Storyline screencast in Google Chrome, the default captions in the screencast won't include details. For example, a caption might instruct learners to "Click," but it won't say "Click the Submit button" or "Click OK."
Google Chrome communicates very little information to the Windows Accessibility API, which is how Storyline knows what to include in screen recordings. In addition to missing caption details, Google Chrome can also omit some steps from screen recordings altogether.
We recommend using Firefox to record web-based screencasts. It provides the richest data set. After recording your screencast and inserting it into your course, you can edit the captions as needed. You can customize the text, size, location, color, etc.
